Be still my heart. Never has magic been so magical or demons so loveable. Author Jonathan Stroud weaves together such delightful images that I am hard pressed to find a better trilogy out there. His characterization is as near to perfection as I have ever seen.
While this series is found in the middle grade section, Stroud’s wit and British charm give enough depth to his stories to make even the most hardened granny weep with pleasure.

I know how you feel! I’ve had this since 2007 and I can’t believe I’ve wiated so long. Bartimaeus God of Sarcasm is definitely a fitting title for him.
